La resiliencia es la capacidad que tiene una persona o un grupo de recuperarse frente a la adversidad para seguir proyectando el futuro. En ocasiones, las circunstancias difíciles o los traumas permiten desarrollar recursos que se encontraban latentes y que el individuo desconocía hasta el momento.

La resiliencia en la cultura maya ha sido uno de los valores màs importantes para resolver conflictos y para anteponerse a situaciones adversas.
Durante mucho tiempo, este tipo de respuestas no se utilizaban.
Sin embargo, se reconocen que se trata de una respuesta comùn como forma de ajuste a la adversidad. Considera a los problemas como desafìos, que son enfrentados y superados por las personas gracias a la resiliencia. Existen distintas circunstancias que favoreceràn o no al desarrollo de la resiliencia en cada persona, como la educaciòn, las relaciones familiares y el contexto social.

Cuando màs alto es el muro de la separaciòn, màs alta y rìgida es la coraza que construimos para defendernos del sufrimiento.
Eso nos encierra en jaulas de miedo y ansiedad.
Si buscamos el motivo que subyace en tantos y tantos conflictos entre personas, entre culturas, entre naciones, no es otro que ver al otro como opuesto, como separado.
Si bien es cierto que somos diferentes desde el exterior, eso no significa que lo seamos interiormente.
