La sociedad maya posee en el vestuario su identidad particular y colectiva, con una senda recorrida, proveniente de la enseñanza de nuestros antepasados, reguladores del porvenir de las generaciones.
El aliento de este porvenir es propio, como su indumentaria continuidad històrica. Aquì se plasma directamente el cosmos, la relaciòn del humano con la naturaleza, los seres que habitan en el universo, nuestros supremos creadores, incluyendo el respeto y agradecimiento por la vida.
Los tejedores solemnizan, eternizan la idea de originalidad, libertad, fidelidad. Y la decisiòn genuina de contribuir a un sistema de valores, para la existencia colectiva de nuestras naciones mayas. Cada momento està bordado, tejido y designado a testificar; que nacemos integrados al cosmos, promoviendo respeto; balance como parte del todo. De alguna manera celebrando la convivencia comunitaria; nuestro desarrollo armònico e històrico dentro de nuestra cosmovisiòn y de la sociedad de la que formamos parte, sin importar nuestras diferencias.
