Arbol sagrado Maya
De acuerdo a la cosmovisiòn maya el universo posee 3 niveles y aparecen en el simbolismo de la ceiba, permaneciendo unidos entre sì.
Las ramas y las hojas cargadores del cielo, del cosmos con todas sus energìas.
El tronco es el mundo donde habitan los humanos.
Las raìces simbolizan el valle de Xibalbà o sea el inframundo.El inframundo es a donde van las almas a un perìodo de purificaciòn. En donde deben sustentar pruebas impuestas tambien por los Dioses que habitan alli.
Seres que han dejado este plano tierra como vìctimas inocentes van directo al lado de los Dioses supremos.
Yaxche personifica el centro de rotaciòn del cosmos, es el àrbol de la vida.
