Tu idioma es la casa de tu alma.
Ahì viven tus padres y tus abuelos.
En esa casa milenaria
hogar de tus recuerdos,
permanece tu palabra.
Por eso
No llores la muerte de tu cuerpo,
ni llores la muerte de tu alma;
tu cuerpo permanece en el rostro de tus hijos,
tu alma eternece en el fulgor de las estrellas.

Una libertad que retoza y no se ha hecho fea.
La sensibilidad de un loro que habla,
soy la niña que se le caen las cocadas y no las levanta,
un huevo de gallina negra me recorre y despierta.
Soy una nariz que huele el adobe de la casa de enfrente
un patio y todas sus casas.
Una fotografía regañada,
un trazo delgado en medio de la selva.
Una flor para el agua, para otras flores y no de las personas.
Soy una resina que lloró San Vicente.
Soy un alcaraván que ahogó su canto en otro idioma.

Màs de la mitad de la poblaciòn mundial habla màs de un idioma diariamente.
Todos estamos interconectados en el siglo XXI. Y para aprovechar todas esas oportunidades, necesitamos hablar màs de un idioma.

Ser indígena en el Siglo XXI significa ser parte de una comunidad que ha sufrido la pobreza, la opresión devastadora, pero que aun así encuentra muchos momentos de consuelo y sosiego espiritual en su historia, idioma, ceremonias y cultura tradicional.
